2007

The Beginning

Naihati New Life Society was founded by Dr. Subrata Sarkar, Founder-Secretary, with a vision of community transformation.

2009

Registered Society

NNLS received its formal registration.

2009

Computer Literacy Centre

Launched to promote digital literacy and access to technology.

2009–2012

NCVT Affiliation

Skill-development initiatives benefited approximately 1,500 children over three years.

2012

Anandadhara Pre-Primary School, Harishpur

Established in collaboration with IIMC, expanding early childhood education.

2012

Health & Nutrition Initiatives

Nutrition camps, health camps and eye-care camps were introduced.

2013

Environmental & Consumer Awareness

Collaborated with West Bengal Consumer Affairs and the West Bengal Pollution Control Board.

2013

FCRA Registration

NNLS obtained FCRA registration, strengthening its capacity for wider partnerships.

2015

Nehru Yuva Kendra

Began collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra, Government of India.

2016

Women’s Empowerment & Livelihoods

Through an MSME tie-up, food processing and jute handicraft programmes were conducted for women

2018

Muktadhara — Open Shelter for Girls

Launched the dream project providing care and support for vulnerable girls under DCRT.

2018

Day-Care Centres

Established three day-care centres serving children from slum communities and street-connected children.

2020

Anandadhara Expands to Sundarbans

Established three pre-primary study centres for first-generation learners.

2022

Further Educational Expansion

Two additional Anandadhara pre-primary study centres established in Minakhan and Murshidabad.

2024

Reaching Bankura & Purulia

Two more Anandadhara pre-primary study centres expanded the educational footprint.

2025

Geriatric Care

Initiated care and support programmes for elderly people

2026

Collaboration with AGAPE

Began a new partnership to further strengthen community-focused initiatives.

2026–Present

Continuing the Journey

NNLS continues working towards inclusive, sustainable and community-driven development, reaching vulnerable communities through diverse programmes.
